"Meet the Bride: Katie Chouccoli's Wedding Day Highlight"

Liz Burns

About Katie: First and foremost, I love Jesus. With that being said, the majority of my time is

spent at church or church related events. Also, I love being around my family and friends. My

favorite thing to do is laugh and make people laugh. If you laugh at my jokes, we will be best

friends. I also am a total dog mom. I have a dachshund pup and I love him with my whole heart.

About Chase: Fun fact about me: I said I wouldn’t marry a girl with a dog and I did. I ate those words. Jesus is first in my life. I was born and raised in church. I was called to preach at 13 years old. Ministry is my passion. I love music. I sing and play the piano, and have since I was a child. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family.

How did you both meet? We actually met through mutual friends. My dear friend made it her

mission to find me a husband and it worked! Her husband was evangelizing at my now husbands

church in Mississippi. They met him and decided we needed to meet. They came back to

Houston and told me about him. At the time I didn’t think much of it because he was 6 hours

away. However, it just so happened that a ministers conference was coming up close to where I

lived in Texas and he would be there. So I went with my emotional support extroverts, we met,

and the rest is history. Now we are happily married.

How did he propose? He actually proposed to me at the park I grew up going to. It was very

special and had a sense of nostalgia for me. He walked me out to the gazebo area overlooking

the lake. In the gazebo there were rose petals in the shape of a heart. He gifted me a bible with

my soon to be new name on it and a golden rose. When he got down on one knee I was so

excited that I said yes multiple times before he even finished asking. He also had a photographer

there to capture our special moment. My favorite thing about the proposal was when we were

leaving it started pouring down raining. We ran hand in hand back to his car totally drenched. It

made it a moment we would never forget.

Why did you choose Edelweiss for your dress? My first reason for choosing Edelweiss was for modesty. As a Christian bride, it is so hard to find a modest wedding dress without having to make a ton of alterations. IYKYK. It was very important for me to have a fully lined, long sleeve dress and they had so many modest options. Also, they have a very fair price range compared to other bridal companies. My tailor was shocked at the quality and how good the price of my dress was. Also, I liked the fact that I could totally make it my own with customizations. You can build your own dress or go with one they already have. You literally cannot go wrong!

What was your overall experience with Edelweiss? I had a 10/10 experience with Edelweiss. It was truly first class. The owners make you feel special and go out of their way to make sure you will have the dress of your dreams. Their knowledge of the wedding industry is so helpful and you know right away that you can trust them with the details of your dress.

What was your favorite part about your dress and the customization process?

I chose the“Claire” because the train was absolutely stunning. Who doesn’t like a dramatic train? I just knew as soon as I put it on that it was my dress. I love that you can customize any part of the dress. If you decide you want to change something they can show you digitally what it would like if you decided to switch it up. I loved the original neck line but decided to change it to a sweetheart neck and it came out perfect.
